Fleur de Wet

Circle dancing comes alive when Fleur shows you the simple steps. Before you know it you are transported to another world. And your heart beats in unity with everyone in the circle.

About

For the past 28 years Fleur de Wet has taught circle dance workshops extensively in Argentina, Brazil and Chile, and occasionally in South Africa.

She divides her time between Argentina and South Africa and exchanges investigative material, traditional dances and contemporary choreographies with circle dance coordinators from different Latin American, European and African countries.

Circle dancing is endemic to most cultures and is a very ancient and universal practice amongst human beings. These simple dances can be taught in the moment and they often provoke a tangible experience of community and universal unity. As such, they are the vehicle for a human legacy which transcends all cultural boundaries and epochs.

Fleur will teach sacred circle dances dedicated to flowers and trees for Barrydale in Bloom.
